From and to the Airport

To get into the city from the airport, you can take a taxi directly from the official taxi stand just outside the terminal. You can also enter your destination address into a machine inside the baggage claim area to receive a printed fare estimate, which you can then bring to the taxi stand. Alternatively, you can book a ride through one of the car services listed below.

Public transportation is also available from the airport to the city center. The 100E airport shuttle bus goes directly to Deák Ferenc tér. Tickets for the 100E bus can be purchased at the purple ticket machines, on board the bus, or through the BudapestGO app.

From Train Station

There are three main trains stations in Budapest to travel out of the city to all over Hungary and Europe, Nyugati Pályaudvar, Keleti Pályaudvar, Déli Pályaudvar and Kelenföld. Each station goes a certain direction out of the city, so make sure you go to the correct train station.

Arriving from Keleti Pályaudvar:

Metro + Walking:

1. Take Metro Line 2 (Red Line) from Keleti pályaudvar station.
2. Travel towards Déli pályaudvar.
3. Disembark at Blaha Lujza tér station ( 1 stop)
4. Exit the metro station and walk to Kálusal utca 26–28 for 8 minutes.

Arriving From Kelenföld:

Tram Line 49:

1. Board Tram Line 49 at Kelenföld vasútállomás M stop.
2. Travel towards Deák Ferenc tér for 10 stops.
3. Disembark at Astoria M (this is the closest major stop to your destination).
4. Walk to Klauzál utca 26–28 – it’s about a 7–10 minute walk from Astoria.

Arriving from Nyugati pályaudvar:

Tram + Walk:

1. Take Tram Line 4 or 6 at Nyugati tér (right outside the station), in the direction of Újbuda-központ.
2. Travel to Wesselényi utca / Erzsébet körút. (3 stops)
3. Walk down Wesselényi utca and turn onto Klauzál utca – you’ll reach 26–28 in about 5 minutes on foot.

Arriving from Déli pályaudvar:

1. Board Metro Line 2 at Déli pályaudvar (this is the western terminus of the line).
2. Travel towards Örs vezér tere.
3. Get off at Blaha Lujza tér (6 stops).
4. Exit the metro and walk to Klauzál utca 26–28 – it’s a short 5–7-minute walk.

Parking

Street parking is available in the city center for a fee of 600 HUF/hour, free after 10 pm until 8 am in the morning and from 10 pm Friday until 8 am Monday. For payments we suggest you download the ‘Simple’ application, because it is easy to track and it shows the parking areas too.  

There is a parking garage nearby 5 minutes from the apartment, they have a daily fee of 16000 HUF (called: CarePark).
