From and to the Airport

To get into the city from the airport, you can take a taxi directly from the official taxi stand just outside the terminal. You can also enter your destination address into a machine inside the baggage claim area to receive a printed fare estimate, which you can then bring to the taxi stand. Alternatively, you can book a ride through one of the car services listed below.

Public transportation is also available from the airport to the city center. The 100E airport shuttle bus goes directly to Deák Ferenc tér. Tickets for the 100E bus can be purchased at the purple ticket machines, on board the bus, or through the BudapestGO app.

Trains

There are three main trains stations in Budapest to travel out of the city to all over Hungary and Europe, Nyugati Pályaudvar, Keleti Pályaudvar, Déli Pályaudvar and Kelenföld. Each station goes a certain direction out of the city, so make sure you go to the correct train station.

Arriving from Keleti Pályaudvar:

To get to Retek utca 4 from Keleti Pályaudvar using just Metro Line 2 (Red Line):

1. Board Metro Line 2 (Red Line) at Keleti Pályaudvar station.
2. Travel towards Széll Kálmán tér (direction of Déli Pályaudvar).
3. Disembark at Széll Kálmán tér (6 stops).
4. Walk to Retek utca 4 ( 4 minutes)

Arriving From Kelenföld:

Metro 4 + Tram 17:

1.  Board: Metro Line 4 at Kelenföld vasútállomás M station.
2.  Direction: Travel towards Keleti Pályaudvar.
3.  Disembark: Get off at Móricz Zsigmond körtér station (3 stops).
4. Board: Tram Line 17 at Móricz Zsigmond körtér.
5. Direction: Travel towards Alkotás utca (13 stops)
6. Disembark: Get off at Széna tér 
7. From Széna tér walk to Retek utca 4. ( 3 minutes)

Arriving from Nyugati pályaudvar:

Tram 4 or 6

1. Take Tram Line 4 or 6 at Nyugati tér (right outside the station), in the direction of Széll Kálmán tér. 
2. Travel to Széna tér. (5 stops)
3. From Széna tér walk to Retek utca 4. ( 3 minutes)

Arriving from Déli pályaudvar:

Tram 17

1. Outside the station, board Tram 17 in the direction of Bécsi ut / Vörösvári ut.
2. Travel and get off at Széna tér (1 stop).
3.   Walk from Széna tér to Retek utca 4 (3 minutes)

Parking

Street parking is available in the city center for a fee of 600 HUF/hour, free after 10 pm until 8 am in the morning and from 10 pm Friday until 8 am Monday. For payments we suggest you download the ‘Simple’ application, because it is easy to track, and it shows the parking areas too.
