From and to the Airport

To get into the city from the airport, you can take a taxi directly from the official taxi stand just outside the terminal. You can also enter your destination address into a machine inside the baggage claim area to receive a printed fare estimate, which you can then bring to the taxi stand. Alternatively, you can book a ride through one of the car services listed below.

Public transportation is also available from the airport to the city center. The 100E airport shuttle bus goes directly to Deák Ferenc tér. Tickets for the 100E bus can be purchased at the purple ticket machines, on board the bus, or through the BudapestGO app.

Trains

There are three main trains stations in Budapest to travel out of the city to all over Hungary and Europe, Nyugati Pályaudvar, Keleti Pályaudvar, Déli Pályaudvar and Kelenföld. Each station goes a certain direction out of the city, so make sure you go to the correct train station.

Arriving from Keleti Pályaudvar:

Trolleybus 78 (Red line)

1. Board Trolleybus 78 at Keleti pályaudvar M (Garay utca).
2. Travel towards Kossuth Lajos tér M.
3. Disembark at the “Király utca / Erzsébet körút” stop. (6 stops)
4. Walk to Hársfa utca 57 – it’s about a 5-7 walk.

Arriving From Kelenföld:

Metro Line 4 + Tram 4 or 6

1. Board Metro Line 4 at Kelenföld vasútállomás M station.
2. Travel towards Keleti pályaudvar.
3. Disembark at Rákóczi tér (7 stops).
4. Exit the metro station and walk to the nearby tram stop (Rákóczi tér).
5. Board Tram Line 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér.(3 stops)
6. Disembark at Király utca / Erzsébet körút.
7. Walk to Hársfa utca 57 – it’s about a 5–7 minute walk from there.

Arriving from Nyugati pályaudvar:

1.   Exit Nyugati pályaudvar and walk to the nearby tram stop at Nyugati tér.
2. Board Tram Line 4 or 6.
3.   Disembark at Király utca / Erzsébet körút (2 stops).
4.   Walk to Hársfa utca 57 – it’s about a 5–7 minute walk from the tram stop.

Arriving from Déli pályaudvar:

Metro Line 2 (Red Line)

1. Board Metro Line 2 at Déli pályaudvar station.
2. Travel towards Örs vezér tere.
3. Disembark at Blaha Lujza tér (6 stops).
4. Exit the metro and walk to Hársfa utca 57 – it’s about a 5–7 minute walk.

Parking

Street parking is available in the city center for a fee of 600 HUF/hour, free after 10 pm until 8 am in the morning and from 10 pm Friday until 8 am Monday. For payments we suggest you download the ‘Simple’ application, because it is easy to track, and it shows the parking areas too.
